Strong Families Home Visiting (SFHV), formerly Enhanced Healthy Start, is an intensive home-based, family driven service that helps families of young children to provide a safe home, promote healthy development, develop strong parenting skills, and build a strong network of support. The SFHV team consists of a Family Support Worker assigned to each family and a Clinical Specialist who will collaborate with families to develop an active family support plan that identifies goals that are important to the families success. Some of the many services SFHV can provide: community linkage, service coordination, clinical assessment, parenting curriculum, referrals to medical specialists and/or developmental programs, and short-term counseling interventions and crisis support.
