The Ka Huliau program, formerly Intensive Youth Monitoring Program, will provide mentoring services to youth, ages 12 to 17, who are currently placed on probation by the Family Court. The Ka Huliau Case Managers (CM) will guide the youth towards successful completion of their probation. These services will occur in both the home and community. CMs are provided with training and on-going professional development.

Youth’s Kuleana

Participating youth will create goals and a plan to successfully complete their probation. Youths are to meet with their CM in person and through phone check-ins on a weekly basis. These services are designed to support the youth to build and maintain positive relationships within the community.

Our Services

  • Youth are linked to mentors, programs activities, and services.
  • Youth are encouraged to develop positive community connections.
  • Families will be provided with resources and services to maintain and strengthen family relationships.
  • CMs will communicate and plan with Probation Officers, parents, and other providers regularly to ensure the youth’s needs and goals are met.
  • Eligibility:

    Youth who have been adjudicated by the Family Court and have been placed on probation. Referral to CFS from probation officer.

    Length of Service:

    60 – 90 Days
