2015 Donor Newsletter V.2
For more than thirty years, the CFS O‘ahu Guild has been tirelessly committed to support CFS in meaningful ways. The 60 members of this group of dedicated volunteers are best known for their expertise in leading major fundraising events to support the work of CFS. Recently, the Guild expanded its role to raise funds and support for specific CFS programs.
In addition, they help deliver donated goods from Longs Drugs, part of the CVS Health family, to CFS domestic violence shelters and family centers; and they are doing hands-on work to create welcoming environments for families in crisis by refreshing and reorganizing the keiki playroom at the domestic violence shelter.
They are also supporting youth in programs such as Ka Pa Ola, CFS’s residential home for teen girls, and Hale O Ulu, our alternative secondary school for youth. Thanks to the CFS Guild, these young women and men benefit from gift cards and tickets for group activities that foster confidence, social skills, and positive personal interactions.
The Guilds on O‘ahu and on Kaua‘i are there for CFS and ultimately for our community. We do our jobs better because of their continued support of our work and the families we serve and we are grateful for their partnership.
