2015 Donor Newsletter V.2
Thirty of Hawai‘i’s top business leaders took to the stage at the 7th Annual Honolulu Star-Advertiser presents A NIGHT ON THE JERSEY BOARDWALK, a CFS signature event. This year they raised $700,000 for the organization. Performing to hits by New Jersey musicians, like Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons, these leaders performed as headline entertainers to a sold-out event at the Hawai‘i Convention Center.
This year’s theme inspired guests to don their most delightfully outrageous Jersey attire. The night was filled with excitement and included carnies, a juggler and magician, a Jersey beach photo booth, and phenomenal giveaways — round-trip domestic airfare for two, anyone?
This year’s event was presented by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. A long-time supporter of CFS, the Star-Advertiser played a key role in pre-event advertisement and sponsorship, helping raise vital funds for the nearly 50 programs of CFS that strengthen families across the state.
A very special “thank you” goes out to the CFS Guild, performers, event chairs, sponsors, and volunteers, without whom the CFS Fall Gala would not be possible.
Mahalo Event Guests for Helping to Create a “Hallway of Hope”
Child & Family Service emergency shelters provide a secure and tranquil setting for families healing from the trauma of domestic violence. Guests at the 2015 CFS Fall Gala were invited to participate in our Hallway of Hope Donation Drive, which raised funds to help renovate the halls of one of our four shelters. The new hallway designs were donated by Bowers + Kubota Consulting, and will provide a brighter and more welcoming environment to assist with the healing process. Mahalo to all those who donated on the night of our event!
