Help for Children and Families Suffering the Trauma of Incest

  Service Description:
  • Sexual Abuse Treatment Services (SATS) provides individual, parent/child, couple and family therapy.  The goal is the resolution of the effects of sexual abuse for all  family members.
  • Non-Offending Caretakers Group (NOC) is a 10-week psycho-educational group for the non-offending parent.
  • Group therapy for child victims ages 3-18.  The program includes groups for both the child victims and her/his siblings. 
  • Adults Molested as Children (AMAC) is a group therapy and support program for adults who were molested as children.
  • Offender Groups – group therapy for intra-familial sexual offenders
Eligibility:

Families and children that have experienced sexual abuse and are referred by the Department of Human Services are eligible for services

Adults with childhood sexual abuse issues may self-refer.

Fees:

There are no fees charged for this program except for offenders who pay $20.00 a month as part of their restitution therapy.

Your Rights

As a participant in a Child and Family Service program you have the following rights:
  • The right to a humane service environment
  • The right to services free from unlawful discrimination
  • The right to be involved in your own service planning
  • The right to confidentiality except when otherwise mandated by law
  • The right to services  which are least restrictive and most convenient
  • The right to file a complaint if these rights are infringed
Expectations:
  • Clients are expected to attend all treatment modalities indicated on their service plans.
  • Discharge from the program will occur when there are more than three unexcused absences.
  • Offenders are expected to pay $20.00 a month to help support victim treatment.
  • Clients participating in group therapy are expected to keep information about other clients confidential.
