Hale Ho'omalu is a family support center provided by Child and Family Service, serving East Kauai (Wailua to Anahola).

Eligibility:

Nana's House: Everyone who resides on the West Side of Kauai is welcome! If you live in Koloa, Lawai, Kalaheo, Eleele, Hanapepe, Waimea or Kekaha, services and support at Nana's House are available to you.

Hale Ho'omalu: Everyone who resides on the East side of Kauai is welcome! If you live in Wailua, Kapa'a or Anahola, services and support at Hale Ho'omalu are available to you.

Adults, teens, children, families, and friends are welcome. Call for more information or to sign up for one of our classes!

There are no fees charged for this program.

Funders:

This program is funded by the State Department of Human Services and community donations.

As a participant in a Child and Family Service program you have the following rights:
  • The right to a humane service environment
  • The right to services free from unlawful discrimination
  • The right to be involved in your own service planning
  • The right to confidentiality except when otherwise mandated by law
  • The right to services  which are least restrictive and most convenient
  • The right to file a complaint if these rights are infringed
Expectations:

Nana's House and Hale Ho'omalu are drug, smoke, and alcohol-free community centers.

Goals of Nana's House and Hale Ho'omalu are to:

  • Increase family understanding and participation in family activities and support services
  • Increase availability and accessibility of services
  • Reduce family violence, child abuse, and neglect
  • Increase community involvement in determining services to be offered
