Baby S.A.F.E.
Service Description:Baby S.A.F.E. is a free, island-wide program for women, which provides outreach and support, referrals to community resources, and drug and alcohol screenings.
Baby S.A.F.E. can provide the following services:
- Drug & Alcohol Screenings & Referrals
- Educational Presentations
- Confidential Counseling
- Women’s Groups
- Connection with Community Services
- Information regarding: child development, drug & alcohol use, pregnancy, parenting skills, domestic violence, school for children & adults, health questions & concerns, emergency funds, budgeting, family planning, employment.
Baby S.A.F.E. responds to all women who request services. Priority is given to pregnant women and those who are concerned about their own or a family member’s drug or alcohol use.
Fees:
There are no fees charged for this program.
Funders:
This program is funded by the Department of Health, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division.
Your Rights:
As a participant in a Child and Family Service program you have the following rights:
- The right to a humane service environment
- The right to services free from unlawful discrimination
- The right to be involved in your own service planning
- The right to confidentiality except when otherwise mandated by law
- The right to services which are least restrictive and most convenient
- The right to file a complaint if these rights are infringed
