Baby S.A.F.E.

Service Description:

Baby S.A.F.E. is a free, island-wide program for women, which provides outreach and support, referrals to community resources, and drug and alcohol screenings.

Baby S.A.F.E. can provide the following services:

  • Drug & Alcohol Screenings & Referrals
  • Educational Presentations
  • Confidential Counseling
  • Women’s Groups
  • Connection with Community Services
  • Information regarding: child development, drug & alcohol use, pregnancy, parenting skills, domestic violence, school for children & adults, health questions & concerns, emergency funds, budgeting, family planning, employment.
Eligibility:

Baby S.A.F.E. responds to all women who request services.  Priority is given to pregnant women and those who are concerned about their own or a family member’s drug or alcohol use.

Fees:

There are no fees charged for this program.

Funders:

This program is funded by the Department of Health, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division.

Your Rights:

As a participant in a Child and Family Service program you have the following rights:
  • The right to a humane service environment
  • The right to services free from unlawful discrimination
  • The right to be involved in your own service planning
  • The right to confidentiality except when otherwise mandated by law
  • The right to services  which are least restrictive and most convenient
  • The right to file a complaint if these rights are infringed
