About Child and Family Service

We are Hawaii’s oldest and largest private, nonprofit human services provider, founded as Associated Charities in 1899. Our mission is "strengthening families and fostering the healthy development of children," which we accomplish through over 30 programs on Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Lanai, Molokai and the Big Island. Our dedicated workforce of nearly 580 employees works with needy individuals and families of all ages, from infant to elderly, touching over 40,000 lives every year.

The Child and Family Service headquarters in Ewa Beach houses the administrative offices, and several programs. The headquarters was completed in 1998, and has accommodated the agency’s tremendous growth.
